Plasan is presenting three new vehicles at Eurosatory 2018, including the Hyrax, the M-LPV SandCat variant, and the Yagu, which is making its European debut

Plasan Sasa, an Israeli manufacturer of armor protection solutions for vehicles, is showcasing three new vehicles at Eurosatory 2018 currently taking place in Paris
The company is introducing for the first time the Hyrax, a new Light Armored All-Terrain Vehicle, based on the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen chassis. With Plasan’s modular armor, the vehicle can be configured with EN1522 B6, B7 or STANAG Level 1 or 2 protection all around. A powerful 183HP Mercedes-Benz Turbo-Diesel V6 engine ensures that this 4.8t (GVW) 4x4 vehicle is agile and maneuverable both on and off-road. The 3 or 5-door body can accommodate up to 6 fully equipped occupants through multiple seating configurations, and compliant with Mil-Std-1472G ergonomic requirements. Hyrax has a payload capacity of over 800kg.
Plasan is also launching the newest addition to the SandCat family, the M-LPV (Mine-resistant Light Patrol Vehicle) model, the first new vehicle based on Plasan's 4th generation SandCat architecture. The new floor design achieves a higher level of underbody mine protection.
The Yagu is aimed primarily for border protection, counter-terrorism, and anti-trafficking missions, and it is based on a commercial but upgraded Arctic Cat Wildcat. Carrying a crew of three (driver, commander/navigator, and gunner), it can be fitted with an optional remote controlled weapon, operated safely from inside the vehicle. A 95bhp engine gives the Yagu a power-weight ratio of over 60bhp/tons, which makes it agile both off-road and in urban environments. Another optional feature is a fully integrated hardened drone that can automatically follow overhead and feed a birds-eye view of the territory directly to the vehicle’s operators. The drone can also be tethered for long-term surveillance duties.
